Scholarship
Wheelies with Wings offers the Suzi Duncan Scholarship
The Suzi Duncan Scholarship is awarded to Wheelies with Wings applicants in recognition of the courage, skill and determination of a woman (Suzi) who faced the challenges of childhood polio and went on to become a flying instructor. She initiated the concept of Wheelies with Wings and invented a hand control to make it possible for people with lower limb disability to fly. In the early days Suzi personally raised significant funds to support participation with Wheelies with Wings. As a qualified instructor, she was gave flying training to a number of disabled people. Suzi no longer is involved but her legacy remains.
